GOLDEN MILK

This turmeric warm bit of heaven is a must have, specially during winter seasons. The best part of how I make it is that it's so easy, made in bulk so it's ready in minutes whenever I need one.


Golden milk is an immune system booster, it helps with sleep, pain, organ function and gut health. Making it highly deserving of its' name, don't you think? It's also a very warming cup of relaxation to enjoy an evening at home.


Ingredients:

Spice mix:

- 5 tbsp ground turmeric

- 3 tsp ground ginger

- 2 tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon

- 1 tsp ground cardamom

- 1 tsp plack pepper

- optional: 1 tsp ground cloves


Mix all the ingredient and store them in a glass container.


The making of golden milk:

- 1 tsp of the spice mix

- 1 & 1/2 cup milk of choice (I like either coconut or nut milk, we do not drink oat milk around here!)

- 1 star anis

- optional: 1 tsp raw honey


  1. Place the milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it steams (if you're using plant-based milk be sure not to let it boil)

  2. Put a teaspoon of the spice mix in a fine strainer and gently sift the mix into the milk as you blend

  3. Let it mix well over low heat to really let it linger and get all those benefits out

    (if you like the foam on top, use a hand mixer and mix until a foam starts building)

  4. Poor into a cup and add honey if you like it sweet
